I’m a writer, physician assistant, narrator, artist, and lover of God who lives in Nashville with my husband, two little girls, and parakeet.
I have always enjoyed entertaining people. Someone’s smile—or better, their laugh—gives me a rush of happy. When I was much younger, I told stories in classes, and while working as a receptionist the summer before my freshman year of college, I decided to write a book. Leaving it unfinished. I graduated college, a week later got married, a week later started PA school, and roughly 27 months after that, accepted a position as a neurosurgical physician assistant. I worked non-stop as a surgical PA for 5 years, eventually transitioning into orthopedic spine surgery. I had no time for writing.
It wasn’t until my husband and I decided to have children that I found time to return to the page. I wrote during naps and any chance I got and finally finished my first novel, INTO THE COLD, a young adult psychological suspense/thriller. I was nervous to share because…what if I wasn’t any good? I finally let my husband read it. He tore it to SHREDS! And so went my first exposure to criticism. If I’m honest, it hurt…a lot, but I received enough encouragement that I edited and edited and edited and wrote more, a lot more.
And now…I have an agent, Ariana Philips of the Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency, Inc, and my first book will be coming out Summer 2024!
I love to write, inspire, entertain, and live life fearlessly (but with a healthy dose of caution). My motto: With God, Nothing is Impossible.
