How Aerie and I got started…

One day in Aerie’s play kitchen, we started making pretend videos to our invisible audience and realized how much fun we were having! And the rest is…well, a YouTube channel.

We started with “cooking shows,” Bible lessons, and children’s books, and put them online just for fun. I thought it would be a great memento for Aerie to have as she grew up. Lately, it’s started gaining a bit of a following, which fueled Aerie to want to do more. Her kindergarten teacher also plays them in Aerie’s class, and her classmates think she’s famous.

As long as she’s having fun, we’ll keep doing it.

We mostly focus on kid’s books because they’re a little easier to act out. But that’s our thing: reading aloud, acting out the book, and then doing a post-book discussion over tea.
