Update:
I’m officially back from silence, and wow was that an amazing experience. I’ll be honest, I struggled at times. It was a roller coaster, but in the end, the silent retreat gave me more than I could’ve asked for.
I’m planning to type up my experience in a little more detail, as some have already asked me to tell them about it. I might do a blog post on it, but I’m not sure yet. If you’re interested, send me an email and let me know. I’ll respond with more details, but only ask if you want all the God stuff.
One thing it really helped me define: my priorities, which means I’m doing more life shuffling and defining. And spending more time on what’s most important to me.
Which also means making a few hard decisions and letting some things go. Details likely coming as I further define.
However, it’s very freeing.
In book news, the edits on my current work-in-progress are taking me longer than I’d hoped, but they’re moving. The book is better.
I’ve had some very encouraging news lately in other writing endeavors, and I’m very much hoping something materializes from it. I’ll keep you posted! It’s too soon to get too excited, but I’m getting excited anyway.
Book Talk: What I’m reading/what’s upcoming.
